Their team is friendly and interested, brightening even the dullest of work days. Be sure to watch out for parking signs, the lot is small and street parking can be limited on the side street nearby.

For those of you who can tell a fine quality coffee when you taste it, Houndstooth is sure to please. You won’t find a coffee shop that puts more attention to detail into each drink they serve. If you want your latte with an extra dark roast, or your macchiato dry, this team has you covered. The big windows make for great outdoor light, and the variety of seating options from bar top to couches will give you all the options you might want. The cherry on top? Right next door you’ll find Taco Deli. Head over for lunch or to grab a bite, and keep right on working. The shared patio makes it easy to stay awhile.

Halcyon

This cafe is a coffeehouse by day and a bar and lounge each night. If you’re looking to get in some great people watching, and grab a drink while you finish up that last minute pitch or proposal, this is your spot. The energy is electric, which also makes it a great spot for a casual client meeting or team happy hour. Their bartenders will not disappoint, they often know what you want before you ask. Keep an eye on the schedule, they often have live music. Their walls are full of work by local artists, new ones are showcased regularly. Their menu features unexpected comfort food, including s’mores you can cook at your table.
SOUTH AUSTIN
Opa

This Greek coffee shop and wine bar is perfect for a productive morning, or a happy hour meeting. With late hours it also makes a great spot to catch up on work before the night is over. The interior is large, dark and cozy, with many couches and nooks to choose from. It’s hard to find a better cafe happy hour in Austin, with half-price wine and sangria on the menu. One of their best features is their large front yard, shaded by a beautiful old tree covered in lights. Snag a spot on the porch or bring your team for happy hour at one of the large tables in the yard. You won’t even notice the rush hour traffic flying by just nearby, with their beautiful walled garden vibe.
