Beyond graphic design and animation, we also offer illustration here at Sparksight. One of my personal favorite styles to work in is digitally re-drawing an image with vector shapes, or “vectorizing”.

It can be a very painstaking and lengthy process regardless of the method used, but the results are incredibly satisfying. Rather than relying on droll stock imagery, you can liven up your project with something much more dynamic by opting for illustration. And we offer any style you need.

Process
Vector shapes are created for each shade and layered to re-create either a photograph or drawing.

This particular style of crisp, well-defined shapes for each shade of color is frequently used in popular print and advertising media from GQ Magazine to massive billboards and truck decals. It blends much more seamlessly with branding and the color scheme and style are much more customizable.

Finished
Each character is digitally re-drawn and completely re-positioned into an entirely new composition.

If you’re looking for a way to grab the attention of your customers, the use of illustration design is a great approach. While most companies are opting for stock imagery or overly cartoonish characters, you can find the perfect balance using this vectorized illustration style.
