Off the Clock

Writing, watercoloring, and walking her cat, Lizard.

Background

Born and raised in the small town of Mount Airy (or as Andy Griffith fans refer to it, Mayberry), North Carolina, Lauren discovered her love of art at a young age. After writing and creating through high school, she tumbled into film school in 2014 after she realized her career as a musician wasn't going to work out. There, she discovered her passion for film producing, and studied under mentors such as Lauren Vilchik (Cabin Fever [2002]) and Bob Gosse (Niagara, Niagara [1997]).

A month after graduating in 2018, Lauren lived in New Mexico for a summer to produce the feature film Dukeland, set for release in 2020. After that, she moved to Austin, Texas, where she joined the Sparksight team.

Fun Fact

Lauren's favorite movies include Jurassic Park, My Own Private Idaho, and Nowhere.
